New Series

Hi everyone. At least I hope ‘everyone’ is reading this. J Maybe just a ‘someone.’ No matter. Whoever you are, thank you for visiting my blog! I’m honored.
I’ve tried to start a blog several times, but I had NO CLUE what to blog about. Well, I’m here again. And I think I’ve captured the elusive subject I want to go with, at least for now.
I’m hoping to do a weekly series on Encouragement for Writers from Women of the Bible. I don’t know how far I’ll get or how many women I’ll “interview,” but I’m really excited about it and hope you enjoy it. Before we start, please keep in mind that I am severely aware of the injustices I will inevitably inflict on these honorable women from the Hall of Faith in my effort to recreate them, but as an aspiring Christian fiction author, I couldn’t resist giving them each a voice of their own. I will be taking creative license with many of these interviews, but it’s my intention to keep things as scriptural as possible, only filling in the in-between with my imagination. We will be starting this Friday with Dorcas, otherwise known as Tabitha, and the interviewed women in future posts will be randomly selected.
Maybe you have some suggestions of Biblical women you'd like to see 'interviewed.' If so, leave a comment telling me which Biblical character and what question you would most want her to answer. Happy Reading!

  1. Hi Natalie!
This sounds very interesting. I think I would like to hear from Priscilla....wife of Aquila. (Acts 18:26) I've always wondered about this verse where it says that "Aquila and his wife Priscilla took Apollas with them to expound the way of God more perfectly".
    God bless!

  3. Oh I love this! Requests... honestly I have so many but I'll keep it to one for now.
King David's first wife Michal (Jonathan's sister).

  4. Hi, Nancy! Michal is one of the most intriguing women to me, but I'd not thought of her yet. She's a definite 'must' for the invite list. Thank you for suggesting her!

  5. I would like to hear from Ruth and all she experienced as she gleaned Boaz's fields.

I am a single again female hoping for a Boaz in my future...

  6. Natalie, This will be such a blessing. Hang in there this time and go with it. I have a book
on ALL THE WOMEN OF THE BIBLE. I suppose Ruth is the one that blesses me the most. I would like to learn more about Lael.

  7. LEARNING TO FLY: Thanks for stopping by! I love Ruth, too. I'm a hopeless romantic, so her story is one of my favorites.

  8. ALIENE: Thank you for your encouragement! I did a search on Lael and could only find it mentioned once. I think it was a man? Were you meaning Jael?

  9. This is an awesome idea! I hope God sends you lots of women that you can witness and encourage through this and you in return the same!
If you can work them in.. I would like to hear from Deborah or Tamar. Tamar is a "serious" type story I know but its all very common, sadly in families today. I'm sure her beauty was probably a burden and to be it one day and over night become an outcast...its just sad, I think. She like most women dreamed of marrying I'm sure but more than likely didn't get to. Its a short story I know too but just an idea..I don't know even exactly what you could ask her really.. Anyway, keep up the good work!

  10. Thanks Victoria! Thanks for coming by! So good to hear from you! Someone recently asked me about Debora, so we have two votes for her now! Yay! And Tamar, yes her story is very intriguing. I'll definitely add them to the list.
