Book News Update

Hey there, friends!

Several of you have asked when my book will be available, so I wanted to give an update on where I am in the process via my first ever vlog!

I haven't published yet. Believe me, I'll be having a Hallelujah Chorus episode when that happens. You won't miss it. :) But there ARE some exciting things happening. Without further ado...

Here's the video. Dun Dun DUUUUNNNN!!!! ;)

First ever video blog.  Sorry for the weird background noise. :)

*** Next month I'll send out a free contemporary Christian short story written by yours truly to all who have signed up for my newsletter by May 1. I promise not to send yucky spam. Just book news updates. And a free short story! Sign up today! :)

I hope to pitch my story to one of my dream agents this month, so please keep me and my manuscript in your prayers!

So what do you think of video blogging (vlogging)? Have you tried it? I have to admit, I'm normally shy and I felt like a drama queen at 16 filming this. I'm not sure if I look more ditzy or snobbish. :s Yikes! Do you like being in front of a camera?

If you have any more questions about the publishing process or the specific steps required to get an agent, comment and we'll chat! :)

In the meantime, enjoy these writerly cartoons. :)

  1. I LOVE this!!! I was wondering where you are in the process. I'm right around the same spot. How exciting! I have a list of agents I want to query...that's the scary part. Isn't it amazing to be able to hand it all to God and let Him guide us?
I'm so happy for you. You have to let me know how the agent stuff goes :)

  2. I know! It's still hard for me not to worry in the waiting period, but I know He's got this.

Just a few revisions left, and I'm hoping to finish up this weekend, then the book will be ready for subs. The proposal is another matter. :)

I had what I thought was a giant list of agents, then a mentor helped me learn which agents were a better fit for my story, so the list was trimmed down a lot! I'm going to try these first few and if nothing happens, I'll be looking for more agent names. :)

I'll be praying for your manuscript as well! Can't wait until it's published!!

  3. I am SO proud of/for you! I've always looked up to you (figuratively and literally) and do even more now! I've been following your journey recently...and miss talking to you so much! I remember we used to always talk about books and writing whenever we got together. We need to again!
